Meet the Team


Sara Shrouds


Sara is from Harbor Springs, an idyllic Northern Michigan town on the shore of Lake Michigan. She now calls Daniel Island, a quaint Island town, in Charleston, SC her home. The mother of three adventurous and creative children, loves traveling and experiencing other cultures. She is obsessed with her two rescue pups and is a passionate animal advocate and volunteers with local shelters.

Sara is an abstract artist who loves every shade of blue and has experience in design and project management.
Our team is growing by leaps and bounds and we’re so excited to welcome Sara into the fold!

Emma Falconer

Originally from the UK, Emma moved to Charleston from Boston, Massaccusetts. Emma loves Rachel’s passion for real estate and her ability to turn a property into the perfect home through design and renovation. In Emma’s free time she loves being active, traveling, watching basketball, and taking her corgi, Douglas, to the beach.

Heidi Perez

Heidi is a mother to a precocious little 6 year old girl. She grew up in Michigan, but moved here from Chicago 11 years ago and has no plans on ever leaving the Charleston sunshine and hospitality. You can find her with her NY Times Crossword, watching basketball, reading a book or crying while trying to relearn first grade math for homeschool. Her favorite Charleston restaurant is Rue de Jean and she never turns down an almond croissant from the Macaron Boutique. Heidi loves connecting and learning about new people which is why she loves being a part of the Rachel Urso team. The interest Rachel takes in each client’s life beyond their real estate needs is what drew Heidi to the team. She can’t wait to get to know you and be a part of the process!

This New Englander was ready for the warmer weather of the south and a new family adventure with her husband and three children! Rachel helped them get to Charleston by showing them their first Coastal Chic home in a friendly waterfront community and recently in a gated deepwater community.  Amy is a dedicated mother, avid learner and wellness enthusiast. She coaches her children in volleyball and basketball and chairs the school Wellness Committee. In her free time, she enjoys the Charleston outdoor life with family, bike and boat rides and walks with good faith-filled friends! Her guilty pleasures are Soduko puzzles, chocolate peanut butter ice cream and doing Beachbody workouts while watching Ozark on Netflix! Rachel’s ability to understand her clients’ vision and help them realize it is what drew Amy to want to learn the real estate business alongside her!

Heather Engler


As chief financial officer, Heather is responsible for the company’s financial functions, including accounting and corporate finance. Her career spans more than 14 years of varied experience in financial management, business leadership and law. Prior to joining Rachel Urso Real Estate, Heather has served as the financial advisor to over 50 corporations throughout the US. Earlier in her career, she held senior-level financial positions in both real estate and the hospitality industry. Heather holds a JD, MA, and BA from the George Washington University. She is licensed to practice in Maryland State and Federal Courts. She lives in Charleston, SC and enjoys island living with her husband and daughter.
Spenser Harvel

Spenser graduated from Auburn University with a hospitality/business management degree, where he created the foundation of his personalized customer service approach.

Spenser enjoys residing downtown with his fiancé and springer spaniel Mattox. He loves everything historic downtown has to offer, from the charming architecture to dinners at Delaney Oyster House. Responsive, honest, and engaging, Spenser is ready to walk with you every step of the way from listing to closing and beyond. Leveraging his keen negotiation skills and commitment to listening to his clients, he ensures a seamless home buying or selling experience.
